This morning I decided to start a little experiment with my students. As most of you know, I am a teacher and one of the subjects I teach is creative writing. I have always loved reading essays and I absolutely love anything creative. I usually give my students exciting projects to do, and therefore decided that I will ask my creative writing classes to sign up for steemit. Some of them are very keen to do this.
I hope that this will motivate them and creative a love for writing. I have spent an hour in class today, explaining the site to them, and they will all create their profiles today.
I asked them to do a proper introductory post and to tag this as gedwriting and introducemyself. Please be on the lookout for this tag. I really want them to be excited about this and not just lose hope after a few posts! We will continue using this tag for the rest of the year.
Our term started now on 18 January 2017 and school closes on 5 December 2017. I have made this into a competition for them so the student with the most SP on 5 December 2017, will receive a prize of 50 SBD.
Hopefully this will motivate them even more! Any donations towards this experiment will be very welcome.
I will continue to guide them through the year, and would appreciate any guidance from other steemit users to motivate and help them.
Please help me help them.
