With the advance made in computer and communication technologies, it has become possible to link customers to a bank computer in a secure and safe manner and thereby allowing customers to have a limited access to the bank computer through electronic means and obtain some information from their account and to transact banking business without going to the banking hall.
This us achieved through a software package that acts as an interface between a banker's computer and the customer. It comprises 2 sets of models, one set of the model is the customer's interface, it may be a telephone, video text or personal computer. The other set of model enables the bank to carryout financial transaction together with the database to allow this transactions to be carried out.
The system has specific features that enables the bank to identify the customer and authorized person both to gain access to the bank system and to transact the banking business that ended as at that time. The deployment of specifically dedicated telephone lines, mobile phones, personal phones and internet for the purpose is now a common feature in the banking hall.
