Holy shit. Stop the presses. I've been hearing this for years that 'time is money,' but today in the shower it clicked on an insanely deep level. Money is time, or the ability to buy/leverage time.
If you're working for money, you're actually trading your present time for potential time. In other words, by working at your job your employer is paying for your time and energy to accomplish a set of tasks. In return, your employer is paying you with potential time that can be used however you choose. If you want to buy food, the money gives you the ability to buy the farmer's time. If you want to buy an Uber ride, the money gives you the ability to do something else like read this Steemit post while the driver brings you to where you need to go. It's so obvious, and I've been thinking about this for years, and I thought I understood it, but today it really hit on a whole new level.
This is why the tech titans of today got so rich so fast. They figured out how to use technology to hack time.
Hope you're having a good day.
Josh
