5 Tips for Young Writers From a Literature Nobel Prize Winner

Here I present five tips that I consider to be invaluable and fundamental to any type of writer, by one of the best Latin American writers of all time, the Colombian novelist, journalist and winner of the nobel prize in literature, the great Gabriel García Márquez.

"When you get bored writing, the reader gets bored reading" (Write when you feel the desire)

"As Proust said, it takes ten percent inspiration and ninety percent perspiration" (dedication and effort are essential elements)

"If you say there are elephants flying, people will not believe you, but if you say there are 421 elephants flying in the sky, they may believe it" (You must believe in your stories)

"I am against the concept that the act of writing must be a sacrifice, and that the worse economic and emotional conditions, the better the writing, I think you must be in a good emotional and physical state. For me it requires good health "(Your condition is crucial when writing)
