Hurray!!! Finally celebrating my first 100 followers! Being close to two months since I joined Steemit through the project carried out by and
.
I must say it took me time to achieve this because within the first two weeks of the project, my mates had already gotten their first 100 followers and here I am just writing mine! ( You need to see me grinning right now!)
However, this set back is as a result of my initial attitude towards steemit. When I joined I only concentrated on posting my works, in fact I didn't really vote others because I thought my 0.01 was nothing at all but now I think this way- isn't it little drops of water that makes a rain? Again, I didn't comment, I didn't engage, lol, I have come to love the use of that word “engaging” very much.
Actually, I dread anything technical, calculation, scientific, such that at home when there is a new electronic gadget at home, I would be the last to understand how it works or maybe I won’t even get to know how it works at all not to talk of the mere sound of bitcoins, crypto currency and the whole transactions steemit is all about. The first time I heard about steemit was in April, told me about it but it sounded too stressful and complicated but I finally joined at last in August.
I have come to learn that it wouldn't hurt making a try or would it? It only makes it better. Also, it’s really good to widen one’s scope of knowledge and not just stick to one thing. One must know something about everything.
My experiences so far on Planet Steemit.
Steemit gives me all that I want to see, read and learn.
I love anything stimulating, artistic, dramatic, and exceptionally creative. Something that breaks convention, that defies whatever law. Something that I can say yes, this is literature, this is life.
I finished my B.A Literature-in- English in April this year in one of Nigeria’s best federal university. (Obafemi Awolowo University) and that is where the conference for steemit in Nigeria would take place (lol, you should see my face now). You can read more on S.I.N on ’s blog.
Being a crazy and deep lover of writings (like I have a choice) , when reading a piece here and I get excited by what I see, let me tell you what I do- I drop my phone, swing my head back and forth and I begin to clap my hands. So I find myself clapping and clapping. Everyone thinks I am going gaga at home.
While studying literature in school, no one taught me anything other than reading novels that cut across all continents and criticizing works .
Steemit is a school where we learn ranging from different fields of study.
For example, I have learnt a lot on plants and animals just from reading works. I have come across a lot of photography works and scientific articles which have widened my knowledge.
I come across a lot of motivational articles here on steemit, I must say
and
have helped me a lot through their motivational articles. Such that I turn to their blogs when I need a shoulder to lean on.
just check out posts on the genesisproject tag and you will read works from great minds and pretty thinkers
Steemit keeps me busy that I don't have time for negative thoughts.
It has become a home.
Finally, know this- your will is yours, no one can take away your will from you. We can achieve all we want to if have the will to. However, hard work is key and here on steemit everyone will have to work hard just like I read on one of ’s post.
No one becomes a whale by singing the nursery rhyme.
A special thanks to all my followers. I exist to satisfy your exciting appetite.
A big thanks to the Nigerian curators too. Thank you for your continual support for the community.
