Richard and Diana both lay on the living room rug, emotionally drained. Mary, Richard's housekeeper, had gotten to her home only to realize she had forgotten her house keys and had returned to collect them. She had received the greatest shock and scare of her life when she saw her boss leaning in to kiss an all-white, shinning, glowing woman. Diana also had been jolted badly by the discovery, as she had been unprepared to share her secret with anyone but Richard. She had stopped glowing as soon as she stepped out of the moonlight and back into the house, making it easier for Richard to calm the hysterical housekeeper down. He had done his best to explain the situation to her and had offered her a very size-able increase in monthly remuneration in return for her silence and loyalty. All had been settled successfully but the couple was exhausted from the drama and upheaval.

Diana and Richard became inseparable after that. Richard was fiercely protective of her and took over the watchful role her parents had always played. Femi & Morenike were overjoyed to relinquish the burden of care to the very capable Richard. The couple was so happy and in love and everyone around them knew it. Their love grew and blossomed and they took to spending as much time as possible together. Richard had a very special and very luxurious silk kimono made for Diana. It was long and flowing and had a hood as well as a face shield. He realized she had been restricted from staying in the moonlight all her life. The kimono gave her the freedom of being in the moonlight without the risk of discovery. She was ecstatic to be able to take walks with him in the moonlight or drive home in her glowing form without fear. It was the most thoughtful gift she had ever received and she loved him even more for it.

It was no surprise when Richard proposed to Diana after 3 months. They had been living a dream and walking on clouds of happiness. They were both so eager to get married and live happily ever after. Diana's parents agreed for them to get married in December and began a flurry of activity in preparation for the big day. On another moonlit night, Femi and Diana sat in the garden behind her parents' home. She was glowing and glittering as usual and Richard couldn't get enough of watching his beautiful wife to be. She laughed at his awed expression, saying "Stop looking like that. You should be used to me by now". Both of them jumped in fright as a gentle voice responded seemingly out of nowhere, "He can't possibly get used to you that way". Before them stood the creature who birthed Diana 27 years ago, beautiful and regal in her glittering glory!
