I spend way too much time doing rewrites 😂 or so I'm told, but I love the entire process from first draft to final publication, although I am not traditionally published. I only write on Hive at present although that has become more of a rarity with the demands on my free time. Great to see you highlighting the importance of rewrites, editing, and allowing one's writing to breathe for a bit before revisiting. I often allow prompts, first drafts, and options for story direction to simmer for a few days. I allow my brain to work them through and make the necessary connections. I find listening to music often sparks just what I need to move a piece forward. It's probably the emotional connections we make through lyrics and melody. Nice share, Ben! I hope many aspiring writers get to read this.
