I've had several occasions when I wished I could write faster. But then I find myself vegging out over Marvel movies. But that can change.
Today I'll discuss several advantages to help you write fast, and I've got a whole article about that topic that you can read for more information.
1) Set a designated time to write
If you aren't getting into the process of regular writing, you're not going to have much success overall. So you need to make sure you're writing every day, or at least at a regular time each week, until you build that habit.
2) Stick to something you love
I find I'm more motivated the more I'm in love with my work. There's always going to be some unpleasant work to be done, but that doesn't matter too much if you love the rest. For instance, I have a gig writing about science fiction that is one of the best writing gigs I've had.
3) Sprint
If you can't physically write very fast, try sprinting. Just set a timer for 5-15 minutes and write as fast as you can with no editing. Not only will you gradually begin to write faster, but you'll also build up your writing.
I've got a whole article about this topic that you can read more of if you want. Cheers!
