Confrontation
I have traded months for years, journeying the night road in search of
Definitive notes with hopes that they will arrange themselves into a perfect
Composition and lead me directly to the heart of my dark inspiration.
Tonight I stand upon the bridge; and with the last bit of daring I possess,
I unbolt the door that stands as a sentry between my world and its twin.
The sum of my desires awaits beyond, layered in the mist of my own making.
What holds me here in this state of indecision, if not my fear and pride?
The ground of my sanity threatens to crumble beneath the weight of my
Worry, and I release an onslaught of longing in a faltering, tear-laced melody.
Look past the sheets painted with measure and see the whole of my hidden truth,
Lest I tumble evermore from the walkway paved by the lure of your song.
