Yesterday I wrote a post on Writer's Block, my experience with it and how I deal(t) with it. You can find that post here: Writer's Block - What's That?
Lately, I am kind of feeling the opposite of writer's block. I have too much to talk and write about. I start on a blog post, before it's finished, I start working on another one and so on and so forth.
They all seem as (un)important.
Perhaps it has to do with the fact that I'm spending a lot of alone time, since last Sunday. There's plenty of time for thinking and there's a lot that I feel like sharing. As Steemit is the place where I share the most, it's a logical conclusion.
Now, this feeling could actually lead to writer's block; if I deleted all these drafts, posts and ideas. Or - even worse - if I wouldn't get them out of my head and onto paper or the screen. I'm not that kind of a person though. I have kept things in my head for too long a time and instead of feeling better about things that only made it worse.
Steemit is a perfect place to get rid of ideas, thoughts and feelings, receive feedback, feed your Ego, find out what works and what doesn't, a space for free therapy (as is Discord) and - last but not least - to showcase your art and - if you dare - give people an insight in the real you. Possibly even the you that people in real face-to-face life don't get to see.
Some might say that I lack focus - and perhaps they are right - but you know what, I don't really care about that. I feel inspired and I'm sure that inspiration will make up for the lack of focus soon enough.
What about you? Are you feeling inspired? Are you feeling any writer's or creative block? Feel free to reply to this post and start unblocking yourself ( and if it's hot out there, don't forget to sunblock yourself)
If after reading this, you are still lacking inspiration, feel free to reach out to me on here or on the discord chat (same username). I love to inspire others.
And - just in case you have felt like making films for a long, long time but you never did - you might get inspired by this screenplay that I wrote back in 2005: Zombie Movie Screenplay - Free to Use
and, if you're still with me and want to read and know more about creative block, this post by is worth reading: hierachy of needs and creative block
