I am not a huge fan of TV, but there is one show that I love and I'm entering a fan fiction writing contest. I have only entered one other writing competition so this is unique for me.
The show is Jericho. A post apocalyptic show from 2006-2008. It only ran one full season until it was cancelled. After it was cancelled the fans raised such hell that the studio decided to make one more run at it. They came back for a short seven episode season 2.
Since then, a season 3 and 4 have been released in comic book form and they are awesome. The show survives on Netflix and that is actually where I fell in love with it. I remember watching the first two episodes when it came out, but that's it. Now I'm a die-hard fan and love the show and comics. It just resonated with me.
I joined a Facebook group about the show and they are running a fan fiction contest.
I have decided to write for it and I thought I would let you all know about the contest if you wanted to enter.
Submissions start in October, so you still have time to watch the series on Netflix and write a side story.
