Late President Ziaur Rahman was buried in this place in 1981.
And the area is clearly cleaned as a place for visitors.
It was named after the Chandrima Gardens.
Late Ziaur Rahman's wife, Begum Khaleda Zia,
after being elected the Prime Minister of Bangladesh,
changed the name of Chandrima Gardens to Zia Park.
Now this place is known to anyone as the Zia Udyan
for somebody in Chandrima Gardens.
Since there is a lot of people gathering here in the center of the park, so many hawkers are seen in this area.
Chattat, Fuchka, Jhalmudi, Almond, Cholala, Amra, Tea, Coffee, Pan-Cigarette, Toys and some cosmetics dealers hawkers are also seen in this area. On Friday, there is a crowd of people watching over here. Many people came
here to visit the family this week because of the weekend
