here are a few photos of World War Two history I found walking around Newquay, Cornwall
Three WW2 Sea mines at Lusty Glaze beach, You can see these at low tide and dependent on sand levels(these were taken in after stormy weather)
WW2 Sea Mine Lusty Glaze Beach
I would describe this as a WW2 Torpdeo Head, I found this back in 2016 at Fistral Beach
WW2 Torpedo Head
You can see a propeller inside
Police seal off the area until checked by bomb disposal unit and the all-clear given
WW2 Pillbox at Towan Headland
The Pillbox is covered in Ice plant (Delosperma cooperi)
WW2 Pillbox later used as a fishing hut.
I used to volunteer at the Newquay Old Cornwall Society which has a free museum behind the bus station, for more info see the website: [Newquay Museum] (http://newquayoldcornwall.org.uk/main/index.php) And there's a Facebook page with photos and info too: NOCS Facebook
