When it comes to Aerial Yoga, one thing I enjoy doing most is the inversions. There are so many variations in it that I can keep going on and on. It gives me a good kick when I do inversions, it makes me feel in power and full control of myself.
At my class last evening, I requested my instructor if we could focus more on the inversions and she was willing for it. Luckily as of now I am the only student in the class, so I get full attention. From next class onwards probably there would be one more person, but that's ok, as far as it does not get very crowded.
I am enjoying my lessons so much, it feels like I a lot of new energy flowing into me. It makes me free from my fears and brings in a lot of stability for me. I could not do fall poses in the beginning as I was always scared of falling and hurting myself but now I am finding courage to do that. Balancing was my other weakness and I am trying to overcome that as well. With every pose I realize that I am breaking my own blocks.
I could never imagine myself balancing like this, but here I can do it, though just for split seconds
And from there to this, was a cake walk.
After that there are many variations to it like the below ones. They seem to be difficult but once you get the basics it is very simple. Every pose has a trick which makes it easy, if you learn those tricks then you can easily do it.
And this is another variation to the inversion
It is becoming like an addiction to me. I do not mind as it is a healthy addiction and I can go on and on with it.
