In an attempt to prevent disturbing content from being monetized on the platform, YouTube decided to implement stricter monetization policies.
Apparently the company wants to have more control about what content gets to be monetized and what content does not and YouTube also confirmed that this will help the approved users ad revenue to increase.
Aside from the recent changes regarding advertisement, YouTube will be hiring more people to manually review content on the platform and the comments section will also suffer a few changes.
If you want to know more about this issue please read the official blog post written by YouTube's CEO (Susan Wojcicki).
