Google has decided to quit one of YouTube's features. Video hosting lost the embedded video editor as the usability level of the options is approaching zero.
A feature that lets you edit videos straight from your YouTube channel has appeared seven years ago, but the option is only used by 0.1% of vloggers. However, Google reported that some of the options (video cropping, filters, fog effects) remain in the Video Manager tab, but for a more sophisticated video modification, the user must use additional individual programs.
"We see little interest in this feature, so we decided to retire to focus our strength on the more popular products," the official announcement said.
Recall that developers have added new features such as Skype Preview for Android.
