This is the next video on my highlight series with a much more important topic.
YouTube is becoming a platform dominated by large companies. Where is the space for small creatures! Large companies already are established and do not need to invade the YouTube platform. YouTube needs to fix the part of the algorithm that rewards visitation from external sites. Also YouTube is showing favoritism in monetization. The whole ad boycott on Youtube has really gone too far. Before the ad boycott, it was already difficult enough to be a small YouTuber trying to make original content, and now, it is getting harder everyday! 1,000 views no longer even amounts to $1 for many creators! The point is YouTube is losing what made it special, but there are no real other alternatives for content creators except to create family friendly content. Companies will put their messages next to tragedy new reports on CNN, but not a reflective video addressing the issue from a private YouTuber? There is something wrong with YouTube and anyone who cares about YouTube as a platform should be concerned as well.
Stay informed,
Erik
