I'd like to respond to what Matt said in this video about where he stands on these new gun rules Youtube will be implementing in about a month or so.
Skip the beginning part of the video and at the 10min and 20sec mark is where he starts talking about the new gun rules on Youtube.
In a nut shell he says while he doesn't like them and he's had to remove some of his favorite videos he's not going anywhere. He plans on staying on Youtube and continue making videos on the Demolition Ranch channel because that's where the views are. He says he has tried other platforms and he gets like 4 thousand views on them versus Youtube which he will have a million plus views on.
Here's my response to him sticking with Youtube. I totally understand him wanting to stay on Youtube where all the views are at right now but what if Youtube just decides one day to bans his channel forever. Then what Matt, you scramble to find an alternative platform or do you just say fuck it and continue on with Vet Ranch and your video blogs?
Personally I hope that's not your plan, they could ban Vet Ranch for being to graphic too, and then you're left with just a video blog that a million other people on Youtube do. I think it would be a wise choice to not have all your eggs in one basket so to say and start using alternative video sharing platforms like Patreon, Dtube or BitChutes because it seems to be only a matter of time before Youtube bans all gun channels. You also could post your videos that got removed off of youtube on a backup channel so people could have a place to still watch them.
Anyways, that's just my two cents and was a little disappointed in Matt's response. I know it's tough though when you already have a lot of stuff going right now like Matt does and learning something new might not be the best use of your time.
Thanks for reading folks, I hope you all have a good Easter weekend.
