Hi! Interesting story! Maybe I wasn't very clear! 240 characters refers to the maximum number of letters, spaces full stops etc in the story (you have, according to my word/character counter 1283 characters in this story) not the number of words (of which you have 240).

It is a good scene though, so happy to upvote it, but it can't be considered zapfic! Sorry!
