Rhett Creighton (https://twitter.com/HeyRhett) the creator of ZClassic and the upcoming Bitcoin Private has been unleashing a steady stream of progress updates as he and the ZClassic community head towards the upcoming fork of ZClassic and Bitcoin that will merge to create Bitcoin Private or BTC Private as they seem to be branding.
Paper wallet
An important milestone for the ZClassic project is the availability of a completely open source and safe paper wallet so users can ensure they have their keys during the upcoming fork. You can grab the paper wallet here: https://github.com/johandjoz/zclassicpaperwallet.com
BTCPrivate.org
In a great move from a branding standpoint Rhett as secured and launched the domain BTCPrivate.org and is now forwarding the old and muddied domain name bitcoinpvt.org.
BTC Private vows to remain ASIC resistant
Good news for GPU miners. BTC Private has promised to remain ASIC resistant even if they have to change the algorithm. As a GPU miner myself I like this news. I'm mining ZClassic at the moment if you were curious.
When is the snapshot date? When is the hardfork date?
The big and burning questions have still remained unanswered but the founder has shown he knows how important these questions are and will announce the answers as soon as he can.
Up Up and Away!!!
The market has been loving this progress and the price of ZClassic is taking off. I'm not going to tell you what to do with you money but I personally bought more ZClassic yesterday and can see this coin easily doubling again.
