Happiness overload!
Tonight I am going back to Zumba classes. In case you don't know what is it, here's a little explanation:
Zumba involves dance and aerobic movements performed to energetic music. The choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo. Squats and lunges are also included. Zumba Fitness, the owner of the Zumba program, does not charge licensing fees to gyms or fitness centers. Approximately 15 million people take weekly Zumba classes in over 200,000 locations across 180 countries.

Photo from April 2015. before one of our Zumba classes
I went to my first Zumba class in November 2013. with a friend of mine. It was her idea to try it out (first class is for free) and she literally had to convince me to go. I was never involved in training, sports activities, fitness or anything like that. I went with zero expectations and left the class with so much joy and positive energy. It was love at the first sight! :)
After one of our classes in 2014
I became a member of the fitness center right away! Even though I could go to other Les Mills (group fitness) classes, I just went to Zumba at first. Later on I gained confidence to try out other classes and Bodycombat was one of my favorites. After more than a year, our Zumba classes went on a break that lasted way too long but eventually got back. Since then I went back for a month or two and then I would go months without going.
