It’s funny how ideas, words and sentences are crafted so easily in my mind but is so difficult to pen down. I can structure an entire essay of the topic that I’m going to write but as soon as my fingers touch the keyboard, those ideas fade away as quickly as the sun when it’s about to rain. I have never blogged before, so this experience is fairly new to me and rather time consuming. But hey, nothing comes easy right? :)

So here goes my first post on Steemit; the Introductory Post!

Sounds like I’m at a job interview doesn’t it? Tell you what, I’m going to skip the formal introduction and start off by sharing with you 5 WEIRD FACTS ABOUT MYSELF!

1. I sleep a lot. Like seriously A LOT! I can sleep 12 hours a day or more. For example, if I were to go to bed at 12am, I would wake up at 12pm. But of course, I don’t do this every day, my parents would kill me. Hey! Just because I can sleep a lot, it doesn’t mean I actually sleep so much! Though lately that seems to be the case as I have just completed my degree and have lots of spare time. My mom says I’m a hibernating bear :P

2. I have a phobia of cockroaches. I’m absolutely terrified of them! Yes, I know they are small and somewhat harmless, but cockroaches scare the shit out of me. I would scream and climb onto something (ANYTHING) or run 10 feet away if I saw one. The FLYING ones are the worst!

3. I love riding roller coasters and rides that go 360 degrees. It does get scary when I’m flying off the seat of the ride (which happens every time I go on the 360-degree rides). EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Like can’t they secure the harness so it doesn’t loosen up when I’m hanging upside-down in mid-air? But being the adrenaline junkie that I am, no matter how these rides scare me, I still enjoy the thrill and excitement it brings.

4. I get car sick unless I’m driving. Train sick when I commute using public railway transportation and plane sick or is it air sick? I’m not sure... You must be thinking that I’m seasick too, right? Nope, well actually.. I don’t know as I have yet to travel by sea haha :P

5. I get hyper after watching horror movies. Honestly, I’m quite scared of horror movies but I do enjoy watching them. Adrenaline junkie remember? So, while my friends look like their soul has been sucked out after the movie, I get super energetic and ready to conquer anything that comes in my way!

So, that’s it for the 5 weird facts, I hope you enjoyed it :). There will be more to come as I continue my journey on Steemit. To be honest, I have no clue, idea or direction on what to do with my blog. Hence, I have decided that the best thing is to use the blog to document my daily experiences, growth and progress as an individual (like writing a diary). I would be sharing about the opportunities and struggles I face as a fresh graduate who is in search for her passion (basically not knowing what to do in life). While I reflect and learn from my experiences, I hope to share it with others who might learn a thing or two as well.
