And today, specifically in the newspaper Vox Populi, a piece of news has come out that has caught my attention and that has generated a level of unease in me that I really want to share with you because I think that what is coming at us is going to be painted as something very nice, but it is not, I am convinced that it is not. I don't trust it. What do you want me to tell you? There are so many signs that our politicians give us that they are not usually for the good of the community, for the good of society, that what they want to implement I do not believe is going on a very good path, in fact, the news that I am going to reflect on is news that initially affects someone that we all dislike, I am referring to the banks because yes, the digital euro is not only going to affect you or me.

One of the first victims that is going to fall are the traditional banks, at least what bank deposits are and this is what has put the banks in a state of oversurveillance a little bit.

The news appears in the Vox Popoli newspaper “The new digital euro puts deposits in check: the European Central Bank wants to limit the money you can have”, perhaps we do not quite understand what the editor of this news means, the man, I believe, who has not been very lucky with the title, but come on, I'll explain.

The European Central Bank launches an asset, an asset is a currency, a virtual currency, it is not a currency that we can carry in our pockets or that you carry in your wallet in the form of banknotes, it is a currency that is not anywhere, it is in the imagination of the people who have made it. This is known as Eurodigital, you don't have to print currency, you don't have to do anything at all.

You have a wallet, a wallet is as if it were a wallet, but a digital wallet, as if it were a computer application on your mobile phone that tells you how much money in digital euros you have there, of course, to date, the business of the banks, one of the many that they have, what does it consist of? Now in practice the European Central Bank tells you, "don't worry, I'm going to save the money for you", I am the European Central Bank, I'm not going to charge you or I'm going to charge you a tiny thing, that is, a very similar price, according to what they tell us, then we'll see the application, I'm going to charge you the same as I charge the banks because they ask me for the amount of money they ask me to do their business. Business and of course, the banks have said, Stop, and they have asked the European Central Bank that at most, and it seems that here at first they are going to reach a kind of agreement that you can have only €3,000 in digital euros.

My impression is that the European Central Bank knows perfectly well that this Euroigital thing cannot be applied no matter what on the first day, that this €3,000 thing is nothing more than a scam and a setup, that as soon as we accept this, which will seem very interesting to all of us, such a very dynamic supercurrency, very such and such, well, there will come a time, and this could happen tomorrow, that Pedro Sánchez will tell you, “pensioners, that at the end of the day there are very few pensions above Of the €3,000 I am going to pay you in digital euros” and this way I do not pay the interest that the bank charges me for doing the work of distributing the money, “The state wins.”

That's on the one hand, but then the bank separates the other services, the loans or things that it does from the volume that it has to give you a mortgage loan, that it has to do a study, insurance or whatever, it will have to compensate for what it doesn't earn with the deposits, they will be more expensive, that is, if they take away a source of business, with the other sources of business you have to earn a little more money because otherwise the “business” will not be maintained.

And all this because some politicians have decided to get involved in doing a job that until now was private, very despicable, if you want to call it that, I totally agree, but I recognize that banks are a service for many people, especially older people, people who get a little messed up with their mobile phones, who get messed up with this, that and the rest there. What interest will the bank have in advising these people? None and you make no money.

Maybe in the politician's mind everything seems great and everything seems perfect, but the reality is usually different, this thing about CBDCs, this thing about currencies virtual, which is still a way that banks want to compete with other cryptocurrencies and so on, I get the impression that it is going to be a mess in the short term, that large banking entities are going to lose a lot of profitability, not in all products, but yes, in quite a few products.

There is banking that is very specialized in deposits and we will see banks fall, we will see jobs lost and little by little we will increase our dependence on a bank governed by the politicians in power. Imagine Pedro Sánchez pressing the button and saying, "Mm."
