My boy, few months shy of 2 years old, has discovered “buggies”. Over the past couple of weeks my son first found common house flies, then crickets in the back yard, and even spiders with my wife (this one I’m not too thrilled about). Since I have grasped this amazing opportunity and have been teaching him to bug hunt. I still can’t believe it, but I had forgotten all about “Bug Huntin”. How could I forget about an activity that filled so much of my time when I was young? My brother ( @bmjman2410 ) and I would spend hours just about every day hunting bugs. Now I get to spend time just about every day hunting bugs with my boy. I know it may seem small to some, but I can’t even explain how excited and thrilled I am for this simple activity. We have already found pill bugs (those armadillo looking things that roll into a ball), ants, butterflies, and even a couple of beetles. The other day we found earth worms (so far seems to be one of his favorites), which he proceeded to run around the backyard holding the worm and repeatedly saying “wormy, wormy, wormy”. Too much fun. I haven’t been able to get many pictures yet as I have been focusing on finding bugs, but there will be many “Bug Huntin” adventures in the future and I’m sure I will get some. For now, I have a couple pictures of us playing with a house fly for you to enjoy.
