Researchers have recently created a switch made of quantum materials that can make your device thousands of times faster by controlling only light and temperature. With the technological revolution reaching its limit, scientists have been looking for an alternative that will be much smaller, more powerful and incredibly fast. This quantum switch is a unique example of this. Researchers have used a material called IT-TaS2 that can conduct electricity very well in an instant and turn it off and on completely, just like a switch works.
