This is a question with no answer, but probably Mankind will destroy itself in the foreseeable future launching some sort of apocalyptic bomb, destroying the Earth or exhausting the natural resources. The idea of this special clock is simple, the midnight means the Human total and catastrophic obliteration and this clock always points at a certain number of minutes to midnight.
