### Hello, fellow Steemians!
My name is Rich and I want to tell you about my chat channel. Steemit has a built in chat feature and, when it first started, they allowed users to create channels. I created a Libertarian chat channel and want to invite you to join us there.

### Who is invited? Anyone can join! To me, Steemit is all about authenticity, creativity, and community. This isn't a chat simply for Libertarians. It's simply a chat for Steemians interested in liberty related issues. It doesn't matter if you are a Libertarian, Anarchist, Classical Liberal, Right-Wing Libertarian or Left-Wing Libertarian. We want your input and discussions. If you are an authentic person interested in liberty related topics, come and meet us. ### Can I promote my Steemit posts?

Yes! That is one of the main goals within the Libertarian chat room. Bring your tired, your poor, your huddled masses of liberty related posts, yearning to breathe free! We want to see your posts and help promote them. It can be really challenging when you first start out on Steemit. It seems like nobody sees your posts, reads your posts, or upvotes your posts. Together, as a Libertarian community, we can change that.
### What kind of Steemit posts can we share?

Anything liberty related! If the topic is liberty and freedom, then this is your place to share. I will mention here that the group is Libertarian, not Libertine. It's not an *anything goes* type of group, so read the rules, which are next. ### What rules do you have? Like I said, we are Libertarian, not Libertine. IMHO, Libertarian means that you don't want to the government, private individuals, or groups of individuals to use force to interfere or stop personal matters, as long as it doesn't harm another. Libertine means you can do anything you please as long as it doesn't harm another. While quite similar, the biggest difference is that this group will censor some posts. We are not the government and we are not using force. We are a private group on Steemit, therefore, we will not tolerate racist, sexist, or homophobic, anti-religious, or other discriminatory posts. Posts which are NSFW must be tagged as NSFW. ### What is the goal?

To bring the Libertarian community on Steemit together and help promote Libertarian thought. The idea of a decentralized, unstoppable, blockchain community seems Libertarian to me.
