Snapchat Threatening Privacy?

I don’t know about you guys, but I feel Snapchat done f#%k up man. Earlier this week Snapchat introduced a new feature known as Snap Map. The main function of Snap Map allows users to share their location with their friends on a map, all the way down to the street corner where your friendly neighborhood prostitute is doing rounds for the day. Now don’t get me wrong, I love my friends like family, but I will be damned if they find out I’m at my local gas station letting loose in the public toilet (I get self-conscience okay). Now I understand that Snapchat has implemented options where you can avoid utilizing this feature all together but lets be real here, most of us are gonna be too lazy to remember that such a thing exists.

What I still can’t believe is that the trailer for this update makes it look like it’s the best thing in world when literally the entire video shows people being using the feature in a dark area....yeah no. In a minute Snapchat is going to have to re-brand to Snatch-chat because this sounds like the plot for the next Taken movie. ( I would be completely okay with that by the way; Liam Nesson is my dude!)

The Verdict?

Now, all of us over here at theGspot have come to a conclusion that this feature is not for us. Are we telling you that you shouldn't use it? No we're not at all (~~*cough* yes we are *cough*~~). If you and you're friends are cool with such a feature, use it. theGspot? We're just gonna stick to taking random pictures of food and occasionally the ground when we get lucky enough to find a free penny.
