Who doesn’t love a good beauty hack?? :) And even better when it is good for you and your skin and free of harsh toxins that can be found in a lot of regular store bought beauty products.

Here are some of my favourites:

Eye- make up remover– Did you know that liquid or fractionated Coconut oil can also be used as a eye make up remover?? Well it can be- and it is very gentle on sensitive skin. Only a small amount is needed and can be applied over the eyelids with your fingers then wiped off with a cotton ball.

After Sun Lotion– Did you know that most store bought after sun lotions have toxic chemicals and artificial fragrances in them? I like to make my own using Fractionated coconut oil and 10 drops of doTERRA Lavender Essential oil. Just mix a few tablespoons of Fractionated coconut oil in a bowl with the Lavender oil and apply to sunburnt skin. Instant relief and smells amazing.

Exfoliating Coffee Scrub– Have some left over ground coffee? Just mix it up with some sugar, cinnamon and a bit of coconut oil and voila! Natural coffee scrub.

Pimples be gone!– Tea Tree Essential oil has natural anti-bacterial properties that have been know to combat acne and blemishes. Just dab a small amount on with your fingers or using a cotton swab on to the area of concern.

Lemongrass Nail Polish Remover- OMG- did you know that Lemongrass Essential oil can remove nail polish naturally? Just swipe over your nails with a few drops of lemongrass essential oil on a cotton pad and voila! Nail polish removed. I use doTERRA Essential Oil as it is 100% Pure and has absolutley no nasties whatsoever.

Honey Face Mask- Honey is a natural anti bacterial that can help rid pimples. Simply spread a thin layer of honey onto your cleansed face and then leave for 5- 10 minutes. Wash off gently with warm water.

Berry Teeth Whitener- Strawberries contain an enzyme that can remove discolouration from your teeth. To uses as a natural Tooth Whitener just blend Strawberries with baking soda in the blender. (only a small amount needed) Once it forms a paste, brush the mixture onto your teeth with your toothbrush as you would with toothpaste. If you do this twice a day for a week you will notice a difference.
