Dishes I ate while travelling through Central Kalimantan and South Kalimantan:
Pic 1. Fried Duck and assorted sides at Jetty Fortuna, Muara Tuhup
Pic 2. Fried Chicken and sides at Jetty Fortuna, Muara Tuhup
Pic 3. Beef Ribs Soup at a favourite eatery at KM 32 on the way to Lampunut
Pic 4. Soto Goreng (Fried Beef meats with Yellow Gravy Soup) at a fav eatery at KM 32 (yeah.. same place with dish #3) on way home
Pic 5. BIG BREAKFAST buffet at G'sign in Banjarmasin, consisting 2 kinds of traditional herbal drinks called JAMU in Indonesian and these are Ginger and Beras Kencur (bit complicated to translate it in English) then all the balance diet for an adult woman. In my defense, I skipped dinner the night before. 😋😋
Pic 6. This small snack is what I usually called Kue Bugis back home, basically slightly salty Glutinous Dough with shredded coconut and sugar mixture as filling and this one used the mixture of black Glutinous rice. Addictive, one is not enough, trust me.
Pic 7. Babi Panggang Karo is basically originated from Medan, North Sumatera and derived from Karo's culture with its signature cassava leaves and torch ginger side dish. And YESSSS, this is one is also addictive.
