Estaba junto a JJ (mi novio) tumbada en la cama, mirando el techo. Pensando en lo que tenía que escribir. Entonces, le pregunté: ¿Quién soy?
Un mundo en la vida de otros —me dijo. Memorias incontables —pensé—, ese quimérico museo de formas inconstantes, como dijo Borges. No es necesario ser nadie más que uno mismo, decía Virginia Wolf. Y así, seguí perdida en mis pensamientos un rato largo, recordando frases de otros, referencias, tratando de componer algo que me sirviera para resolver la incógnita.

¿Quién soy? No sé muy bien cómo responder a esta pregunta.

I was next to JJ (my boyfriend), lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling. Thinking about what to write. So, I asked him: Who am I?
A world in the lives of others, he told me. Countless memories, I thought, that chimerical museum of inconsistent shapes, as Borges said. You don't have to be anyone but yourself, said Virginia Wolf. And so, I continued lost in my thoughts for a long time, remembering phrases from others, references, trying to compose something that would help me solve the unknown.

Who am I? I am not sure how to answer this question.

Creo que puedo decir que soy una persona que ríe hasta en las circunstancias más extrañas. Si me tropiezo con el recuerdo de alguna cosa graciosa me río sola andando por la calle. Y no solo río si algo me da gracia, también lo hago cuando me muero de nervios. Como los nervios que siento mientras escribo cada palabra aquí. O en situaciones en las que me siento incómoda y no sé cómo debo comportarme.

Además, hablo sola. Si me aseguro de que estoy completamente sola, es posible que lo haga en voz muy alta. Digo que hablo sola porque no creo que muchos le den validez de diálogo a hablar con los gatos. Por tanto, podría decirles que soy ventrílocua de gatos. Yo hablo, el gato “me responde”. Cuando se me ocurrió escribir eso, pensé que lo de la ventriloquía podía sonar menos loco, incluso cool, pero no, suena igual de chiflado. Qué pena con ustedes. Sigamos.

If I think about it, I can say that I’m a person who laughs even in the strangest circumstances: If some funny thoughts suddenly come to my mind, I laugh alone walking down the street. And not just do I laugh if something makes me laugh, I also laugh when I'm scared to death, like just right now, each time that I write a word for this post. Also, in situations where I feel uncomfortable and don't know how to respond.

Besides, I speak alone. If I make sure that I am completely alone, I may be doing it very loudly. I say that I speak alone because I don’t think that people consider logic the dialogue with cats. Therefore, I could tell you that I am a ventriloquist of cats. When I speak, the cat "answers me". When I thought to write that, I thought that the ventriloquism thing might sound less crazy, even cool, but no, it sounds just as crazy. What a shame. Let 's keep going.

Si de gustos se trata, me gustan muchas cosas, nada excepcional. Voy montada en el tren de las películas y series de superhéroes. Disfruto el universo Marvel tanto como el de DC. A mi no me van a poner a escoger, disfruto ambos, así que disfruto más. Me encanta Star Wars y Star Trek, Harry Potter y El Señor de los anillos, le digo ‘no’ a esas rivalidades abrazándolo todo. Las películas de terror asiáticas me parecen fascinantes, las animaciones también son increíbles y las disfruto mucho.

Por cierto, vean One Piece, no se dejen agobiar porque son muchos episodios. No se pierdan una de las mejores historias del mundo.

Por otra parte, les cuento que me encanta cocinar, así que verán algunas de mis recetas por acá. Algunos de mis amigos pueden dar fe de mi arte culinario. Eso, y que estudié gastronomía por dos años como un hobby muy bonito.

About what I like, there are many things, nothing exceptional. I'm riding the train of superhero movies and series. I enjoy the Marvel universe as much as the DC universe. Ahora mismo, ustedes se preguntarán ¿Y adónde piensa llegar esta mujer con su cuento sin pies ni cabeza? Pues hasta aquí. Mujer de 38 años, que ríe, llora y es ventrílocua de gatos —por excelencia—. Recibí alguna vez el título de Licenciada en Educación Matemáticas, mención Informática e hice un postgrado de Estadística en la UCV, que no terminé por falta de tesis.

Las circunstancias me han llevado a trabajar en algunas áreas fuera de mi formación profesional, y un día, me puse a escribir como loca y me publicaron un libro de poesía, porque algunos creyeron que lo valía.

Right now, you may wonder, and where is this woman going to go with her endless story? Well, up to here. I'm a 38-year-old woman who laughs, cries and is a ventriloquist of cats — par excellence. I once received a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education, with a minor in Computer Science and tried to do a master degree in Statistics at the UCV, but I didn’t finish due to lack of a thesis.

Circumstances have led me to work in some areas outside of my professional training, and one day, I started writing like a nut and my poetry book was published, because some people believed it was worth it.

Algunos de mis poemas están publicados en la primera edición de una antología llamada Antropología de fuego. Mi primer y único poemario, publicado el año pasado, se encuentra en Amazon; se titula Verbum Caro , con prólogo de mi queridísima amiga Aglaia Berlutti. También tengo un blog que dejo abandonado con bastante frecuencia, Un Círculo Rojo: Todo verbo crea lo que afirma.
