For those IN the US, a multipronged approach is needed. Voting is harm reduction. Nothing more. It is a matter of trying to pick the government that will fuck things up the least while moving forward.

Part of what confuses the issue is the words we use. Outside of the US, the term Neo-Liberal is pretty much the opposite of actually Liberal. The Republicans are Neo-Liberals. The Democrats basically are

This is a good point. While Steem is a blockchain, and thus all content is effectively permanent... BUT, they have no method available for long term organization, so content is effectively lost a few weeks
