Truecrypt is obsolete as it can be decrypted easily.I also use linux on almost all of my computers but not even OSx is secure.There will be allways a way.Just get a old laptop and store your keys there

That's true.The upload is hard and webservers aren't 24/7 as they can have downtime or you can host webserver on your pc and I'm sure you wont let your pc 24/7
