As you can see, the higher the mission level, the more energy is consumed, but you also get more experience and Starbits. However, because "illegal busking" missions require the least amount of energy, there is a neat method where you spam them. You have a chance to find a piece of pizza every time you complete a mission. A slice of pizza gives you all the energy you need. I could be storing energy if I had a pizza box. That will be the next item I purchase for this game. So I was level 4 after the first day. On the second day, I continued to progress as far as I could in my mission and then went on illegal busking expeditions in pursuit of pizza. Finding it after 4-5 missions has been very usual for me, though I could just be lucky. I've made it all the way to the mission "Midweek Headline Slot." Before I could unlock the headlining gig, I needed to accomplish one more "Busking with a license" objective. I spent all of my energy unlocking it and then went to bed. It costs 80 energy to accomplish and takes an hour. It is presently providing me with 93 experience point and 60-250 starbits.
