It's expensive to start, about $5000 US but after that it's pretty cheap. It's definitely the cheapest form of aviation and worth every penny! If you can find someone who can mentor you and hang around

Up to you! I usually go to stable backfly then open and check the surge. On the Mojo I don't need to worry so much about it overshooting and I was trying to keep altitude so I like to exit quickly.
