Tether was supposed to be audit-able easily using the block chain and publicly posted records by the cash holding banks. They need to get that system in place so the public can audit at any given time.

I'm not sure that the reason tether is moving is because of the market. I think Tether is moving right now because of rumors of problems with the funding behind the currency. More on that in my post here:
