Greetings fellow video game lovers, I hope you are very well. One of the good things about not having internet, as in my case, is that you can occupy your mind in other things instead of watching memes... In my case, I was playing one of the games I had on my phone and had not tried yet. It is one of the many puzzle type games that I have downloaded, those games that I like and are really entertaining. This is not such a complicated puzzle but it is certainly enjoyable. Here is another installment of Gabo Play, where I will tell you a little bit about this game called Two Dots.

Saludos compañeros amantes de los videojuegos, espero esten muy bien. Una de las cosas buenas de no tener internet, como es mi caso, es que puedes ocupar la mente en otras cosas en lugar de ver memes... En mi caso, estuve jugando uno de los juegos que tenía en el teléfono y aún no había probado. Se trata de uno de los tantos juegos tipo puzzle que tengo descargado, esos juegos que me gustan y son realmente entretenidos. Este no es un puzzle tan complicado pero ciertamente se disfruta. Les presento otra entrega de Gabo Play, donde les hablaré un poco sobre este juego llamado Two Dots.

This is a fairly basic but very entertaining game, it is about connecting dots of the same color by drawing a line between each dot. One of the features that jumps out is that you can log in to the game with facebook. It has its advantages to do so and it is free. As I show in the image below, you can see the progress of your friends, if they are playing too; you can save your progress, play on multiple devices and, very important, it will not spam your friends.

Este es un juego bastante básico pero muy entretenido, se trata de conectar puntos del mismo color trazando una línea entre cada punto. Una de las características que salta a la vista, es que puedes iniciar sesión en el juego con facebook. Tiene sus ventajas hacerlo y es gratis. Como muestro en la imagen de abajo, puedes ver el progreso de tus amigos, si estan jugando también; puedes guardar tu progreso, jugar en varios dispositivos y, muy importante, no enviará spam a tus amigos.

As expected, the game starts with a brief tutorial on how to play. It shows us that we can connect dots only if they are of the same color; furthermore, we can connect as many dots as we want as long as they are next to each other, with the exception that you cannot connect dots diagonally.

Como es de esperarse, el juego comienza con un breve tutorial sobre cómo jugar. Nos muestra que podemos conectar puntos solo si son del mismo color; además, podemos conectar tantos puntos queramos siempre y cuando estos esten uno junto al otro, con la excepción de que no se pueden conectar puntos en diagonal.

The game is managed by levels. We don't decide which level to start with, but we start with level one and after passing that level, we advance to the next one and so on. The first world is composed of 10 levels and we can only see the accessible levels until we reach level 10. Once this level is reached, the next world is unlocked.

El juego se maneja por niveles. No decidimos por cual nivel comenzar, sino que vamos por el nivel uno y luego de pasar ese nivel, avanzamos al siguiente y así sucesivamente. El primer mundo está compuesto por 10 niveles y solo podemos ver los niveles accesibles hasta que lleguemos al nivel 10. Una vez que se llega a este nivel, se desbloquea el siguiente mundo.

As you can see, there can be points of different colors. In this first level we have the primary colors, blue, red and yellow. As we were taught in the tutorial, we can connect all the contiguous dots on the map, which is a 4 x 4 square, that is, 16 dots. At the top we can see the number of dots that we must connect to pass to the next level.

Como pueden ver, pueden haber puntos de distintos colores. En este primer nivel se tienen los colores primarios, azul, rojo y amarillo. Tal como nos enseñaron en el tutorial, podemos conectar todos los puntos contiguos que haya en el mapa, el cual es un cuadrado de 4 x 4, es decir, 16 puntos. En la parte de arriba se nos muestra la cantidad de puntos que debemos conectar para poder pasar de nivel.

Once we have passed the level, this screen will appear, where we see what we have achieved and the stars obtained, which will help us to unlock prizes.

Una vez superado el nivel, nos aparecerá esta pantalla, donde vemos lo que logramos y las estrellas obtenidas, las cuales nos servirán para desbloquear premios.

As we advance through the levels, the game itself teaches us things. One of the interesting things it teaches us is that if we join points by making a square, all the points of the same color will be eliminated. Something very useful when we must eliminate many points of the same color in a few turns. Because yes, we have limited turns in each level.

A medida que avanzamos en los niveles, el propio juego nos va enseñando cosas. Una de las cosas interesantes que nos enseña es que si juntamos puntos haciendo un cuadrado, se eliminarán todos los puntos de ese mismo color. Algo muy útil cuando debemos eliminar muchos puntos de un mismo color en pocos turnos. Porque sí, tenemos turnos limitados en cada nivel.

There are other options also in the main menu of the game. You see, like almost all these games, there are coins that we can exchange for lives, but to get these coins we have to buy them. Also in the options menu we are shown how many lives we have.

Hay otras opciones también en el menú principal del juego. Verán, como casi todos estos juegos, hay monedas que podemos canjear por vidas, pero para obtener estas monedas hay que comprarlas. También en el menú de opciones se nos muestra cuántas vidas tenemos.

There is a side menu that shows our profile, a section of options and another section for the "mechanics", where it shows us all the other points that we will find in each map of the game.

Hay un menú lateral en donde nos muestra nuestro perfil, un apartado de opciones y otro apartado para las "mecánicas", donde nos muestra todos los otros puntos que nos vamos a encontrar en cada mapa del juego.

Well, back to the levels. Once we reach level 10, the next world is unlocked, as I mentioned above. In this case it is a marine world with the same gameplay, only with a little more complexity and more points.

Bien, volviendo a los niveles. Una vez llegamos al nivel 10, se desbloquea el siguiente mundo, como les mencioné más arriba. En este caso es un mundo marino con la misma jugabilidad, solo que con un poco más de complejidad y más puntos.

For example, by connecting dots we make our way through the water, creating those blank spaces. We can also use other new options that we didn't have in previous levels and as we advance further in the game, we can get more options and gameplay.

It is important to note that in the game we only have five lives, so if we lose one, we will have to wait a certain amount of time to recover it, because the game gives us a life every so often.

Es importante destacar que en el juego solo tenemos cinco vidas, así que si perdemos una, tendremos que esperar cierto tiempo para poder recuperarla, porque el juego nos otorga una vida cada cierto tiempo.

On the other hand, there is another type of game within the game itself, one called Odyssey Two Dots. In this Odyssey there are mini-games that we can unlock as we advance in levels. The first one, as you can see in the image below, is the Initial Base.

For example, in this initial Base there is a very cool game mode, where we must collect objects on a map full of many objects and curiosities. It is a mini-game in the purest "Where's Wally?" style, only that Wally is not there and instead we must look for specific objects that the game will show us.

Por ejemplo, en esta Base inicial hay una modalidad de juego muy genial, donde debemos recolectar objetos en un mapa repleto de muchos objetos y curiosidades. Es un minijuego al mas puro estilo de "¿Donde está Wally?", solo que Wally no está y en su lugar debemos buscar objetos específicos que nos mostrará el juego.
