Nooooo... I was able to play pieces like this after 4-5'ish years, I've not done much practicing for most of those 27 years. Only had 7 years years of lessons.

Well yeah, but basic lessons + improvisation = still fun :-)

Try to grab the snake and throw it to the lion, so that the lion eats the snake or decides it's not safe to stay there. That seems the safest option to me :D
