The movie adaptation of this book was very depressing. It left me sad after leaving the theater.

Claudia only looks like a child. It's part of her tragedy to keep her child like form even is she's hundreds of years old.

Interesting love story. Tragic but has a happy ending.

Too bad the author died before finishing the book. It was a good series - not as great as George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire in my opinion but it has it's own interesting characters and world building.
