RE: Wildlife : Birdwatching - 322
Fieldfare is very rare in North America, and one has been seen recently in British Columbia, about a 7 hour drive from where I live. I have so far resisted the urge to chase it, but it would be nice.

RE: Hairy Woodpecker
Hairy Woodpeckers vary in their color considerably, with the more eastern birds being a lot whiter and the more western birds being more beige in the light areas. I can be quite a dramatic difference.

RE: Bright-capped Cisticola - Cisticola exilis
On a trip to Kenya Cisticolas were without question the most difficult to identify visually of the species seen. Thankfully they all sing like crazy.

RE: White Throated Sparrow
We get all excited here in Western WA when we see one of these guys. We get White-crowned and Golden-crowned as our default Zonotrichia sparrows. Nice work as usual. Thanks.

RE: Sibley Guide to the Birds App - The second edition of the Sibley Guide to the Birds
From a birder's point of view having a quality phone birding field guide is a basic everyday tool that every serious and beginning birder has to have. As field guides to the Sibley guides are simply superb.

RE: Post deleted as a result of Steemcleaners' abuses.
I visited Giverny a couple of years ago, and have to agree is is a magically wonderful place, and it's easy to see why Monet loved painting there.

RE: HP1 - FOLDABLE POWERED WHEELCHAIRS
Many people with the need for a power wheelchair can only use them at home, because for a traditional power wheelchair, moving them in a vehicle requires a specialized van that is extremely expensive.

Really, this is a theoretical advantage, an unproven declaration of safety, and not something anyone with critical thinking can advocate.

American Dipper used to be called Water Ouzel. Somehow they seemed cooler by the earlier name.
