RE: Reverse bounties: how do we fund development through Steemit of different apps and features?
Yes, you're correct, various public nodes can be used. Not my bot, just the one I have bookmarked to try myself! Report back on where you get to.

RE: [proposal] A potential alternative to Voting Power, Voting Tokens?
I get what you're suggested, and I'm still super new here, but ... for me, I haven't seen it as a problem. I'm not trying to game the system, or maximize it, or anything -- I just up vote stuff I like.

You don't need to run a local instance of steemd at all unless you a) want to mining or b) are doing something else that is useful I have forks of @jesta's steempress and a fork of steemit.com on my public

Tagging with #steemit-feature to track. I like your feed preferences option, too. I would love to be able to follow certain tags, rather than just having to bookmark them.

I'm a novice coder too, but a good code groomer and doc writer :) The people who are good coders often aren't great at HOWTOs and technical writing. With code moving this quickly, I don't know that it

Thanks @ntomaino. The code changes for steemit are all in GitHub and out in the open AFAICT. It's unclear what the deployment process is, and yes, would be good to have an end user readable change log.

RE: Update on the steempress theme bounty
I really wouldn't worry about a live data view. I'm still learning twig and how you've integrated it, so that's the main hold up for me. Liquid templating is super simple, including the part where you

RE: Update on the steempress theme bounty
I'm in the midst of fiddling with a couple of different themes. Mainly, my plan is to port some Jekyll and other open source themes, which many more people have already created, and document the process.

And man you're kicking my butt on steemit-hun posts ;) I want to get back to some theme work on steempress so I can actually display this stuff nicely, hence no postings on the tag!

RE: [Steemit Hunt] Readme - Developer documentation made easy
The devs on Github for steemit.com have been responsive & excellent. I've made some pull requests to fix the README there, but that's really the only piece of documentation. The protocol / steemd API

There will be a variety of incentives around the base protocol. I like that's not tightly coupled to currency. It makes IPFS a natural complement to a variety of other systems. You can't really call a

Trent from BigchainDB wrote a really great article called The DCS Triangle which suggests decentralization, Consistency, and Scale being the three things different protocols can optimize for. As you say,
