Everybody that is investing into cryptocurrencies knows this feeling: you see a coin, you see its price, its marketcap and you say to yourself: What the f**k? Why is this coin worth so much? It makes no sense.
The coin neither has a propper website, a good working product or idea, nor good social media activity but regardless of that it’s value explodes.
But such a situation can also exist the other way around and those coins are the ones that have a lot of potential.
In my first medium article I would like to show you such a type of coin.
It’s called Elixir (Elix).

Lets have a look at why I think this coin is a good investment.
Lets start with the basics before going into depth.Elixir has a marketcap of ~140.000 USD (30.09.2017) and is on place 400 at Coinmarketcap.
One single Elixir costs about 0.05–0.06 USD (30.09.2017) right now.
It got listed on Coinmarketcap at the 23rd of September.

If the coin reaches the top 100 (and I think it has the potential — I will tell you why in just a minute) it would jump from a marketcap of 140.000 USD to about 35–40.000.000 USD. The result would be a growth of x280. That means that one single coin would be worth 14 USD. Even if it doesn’t reach the top 100 and moves into the top 150 the potential gains would be huge.

What is the basic idea of Elixir?
Since my mother tongue isn’t English I will just quote from their website.

“Elix is a base token for a lending service that will analyze financial transactions and reward borrowers for paying off loan installments on time. In addition, the lending service will eliminate the need to pay for brokers. These incentives and automatic recourse will give the lending system an advantage over both fiat currencies and other virtual currencies. In the long term, this financial service will form the backbone of an artificial intelligence engine capable of motivating consumers to make sound financial decisions. Elixir is mined through transfers between pairs of addresses. In the lending service, these pairs of addresses will correspond to parties completing financial agreements.”

I think this idea is really nice. Decide for yourself if you like it too. But I am totally convinced that this coin could reach a marketcap of 40.000.000 USD easily. The idea is better than most of the top 100–200 coins and it can hold it’s own inside the top 100 coins.

For comparison lets take a look at similar products:
SALT: Marketcap 220.000.000 USD
Everex: Was inside an ICO and not released yet? It did raise over ~4000 BTC. This is about a marketcap of 16.800.00 USD. After the ico it will probably go much higher.

The website

Since we now know the basic idea behind Elixir lets look at their Website.
Before we are looking into the content of the website I would like to look into the sourcedode.
Remember: we are inside a technology sector and people should be able to code a simple and clean website.
You are able to see the HTML and code with any browser. A lot of “s**tcoins” or “scamcoins” are using websitebuilders like www.wix.com or cheap/free wordpress themes without any love and optimization.
The Elixirtoken-website is completly handmade. There is no bootstrap, CMS or anything behind it. Its a quite clean code and optimized pretty good. You can see the basic optimization here: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?hl=de&url=http%3A%2F%2Felixirtoken.io%2F&tab=desktopI know it does show a red score of only 47/100. But to understand this score you have to be in depth. If they would reduce the filesize of their pictures a little bit it would be in a range of 70–80%. Especially the work they invested in code development is of great importance. They minimized everything, got a good server running and also optimized it nicely. Additionaly, they didn’t throw any crap with a lot of bloatware into it. As a result of that you can see that they took time and effort to create this website and that‘s an important fact.
The content of the website looks great and it has a solid design. There is a lot of attention to detail and it‘s looking serious and well done. Of course you could design it even better but this one is seriously better than 90% of all websites. And probably better than 95–97% websites in cryptospace. Further down on the website you can see screenshots and a video of the upcoming app. What can I say? This is really sweet! It‘s just looking good! Here are some screenshots and a video from the App.

Roadmap
A lot of cryptocurrencies struggle with finishing their roadmap in time or the targets take more than 12+ months to complete. Resulting in you having to wait really long for a working product. And without a real working product there isn’t really any incentive to invest. It only makes sense to invest into a coin shortly before a product is released. Otherwise your money is stuck in a coin that isn’t going to move up much.
In comparison the first targets of Elixir are getting ready in Q3 2017, the app is getting launched in Q1 and many good roadmappoints are following shortly after. Like Socialnetwork System, Webapp and so on. Sounds good, huh?

The team and sourcecode
No team is announced at the moment. However, the team will be announced in the near future. In my opinion this behaviour is absolutly fine since it wasn’t an ICO at all. They didn’t collect money in any way (as far as I know!) and because of that its fine to reveal the team later. Already, they are showing that they are working on this product in a serious manner. Good screenshots, good website and good social media activity.

This project is on the following plattforms:
Telegram, Youtube, Discord, Bitcointalk, Reddit, Medium and Twitter.

Telegram:
They got a working Telegram group with about 350 people and the devs and the members are answering questions. Thats quite a lot after some days of being inside the cryptospace. Thumbs up!

Discord:
They have a discord but I dont’t know how many people are active since I don’t have discord.

Bitcointalk:
Their Bitcointalk forum has a very active community and one of the developers is answering quite frequently. He made over 50 posts since 28. August — most of them inside the thread.

The Reddit forum is looking nice and clean. Some people are already asking questions and stuff. Seems to go in a poromising direction.

At the moment, Elixir is in the top articles inside the “finance”-tag on medium.

Exchanges
They are on Etherdelta and Coinexchange. Both sites are okay to buy this coin. We all know Etherdelta is not the nicest but Coinexchange is totally fine. It has a volume of 60k$ in 24 hours at the moment but this could explode quickly.

Summary
This coin has a low marketcap and I don’t think this coin deserves it. Its probably that low because it didn’t have any ICO (as far as I know) and therefore its starting from the real bottom without a turboboost in terms of money. They are heading in a great direction to be a worthy product.

Positive:
- great idea with a lot of potential
- similiar products already got A LOT higer marketcap
- low marketcap
- good website (design and code)
- the app is looking sweet and they posted a video of it
- very active community and developers who are answering questions

Negative:
- the only negative point (that is really minimal) is, that the developers are unknown yet. But this could change anytime soon.
And when the team is announced, the coin will explode.
How I mentioned above, since it isn’t a ICO it isn’t a problem for me at all! The quality of the product is high, the communication is serious and it seems like they are heading in the right direction.In my opinion, this could be a diamond in the making.

**UPDATE
First of all, I would like to say thank you to everybody who liked, shared and contributed to this article in any way. The resonance was breathtaking and almost everybody did behave very respectful. Thanks alot.

As a result I would like to write more articles about different coins and topics related to cryptocurrencies. Some coins will have a lower marketcap, some coin will have a higher marketcap but the most important part for me is to find coins and topics with real value. If I post about a coin I will do so because I am completly convinced that it has value and is undervalued. But remember: please inform yourself bevore you invest in something. **Back to Elixir:
The market cap of Elixir is going to change shortly due to the mining rewards. You can already see that the http://elixirtoken.io/ totalcoins are growing. As a result it'll probably go up 3 to 4 times in total marketcap which puts it AROUND 5 million. This could be a great chance to make it more visible to investors but it could also lead to early investors taking profits. Take care everybody!
