I think/hope LTC is going to end up replacing BTC in a lot of places where BTC was accepted. High fees and slow are never good. I've seen people claiming Amazon support said they are adding LTC support

Its likely. Litecoin is rumored to be picked up by Amazon as well. Perhaps when the lightning network comes out.
