I had some laminate left over from making a few jigs in the shop and decided to make this car from spare plywood. This was a lot of fun to make. About three hours including design.

I built this crosscut sled so I could cut oversized pieces square. I sized the lid to this cedar chest using the sled.

I made these from genuine mahogany. Mortise and tenon. No screws, only glue except for the drawer hardware and mounting the top. I finished with brushed lacquer and 0000 steel wool. Smooth as glass.
