Right now the banks that have partnered are using XCurrent which does not use XRP at the moment. One bank, Caullix has implemented Xrapid which does use XRP. Others that are piloting and using XRapid/XRP

Seems that Bitcoin's volume is really low...I almost could see Ethereum or Ripple in the near future taking over the lead.

It seems Bitcoins volume seems to be dropping which is a concern to me....its possible Ethereum or XRP could dethrone Bitcoin soon

I remember when Verge used to have upwards of a billion in volume, but then again so did Tron. I believe the volume will pick up this month after January's mess of a month.
