We homeschool year round. This is a lie. We homeschool 3-4 days a week and 2-3 days a week during June and July. However, a lot of what we learn during the summer is learned outside between gardening and hiking plus trips to the numerous river and lakes around this area. Today we decided to go take an afternoon trip to a waterfall a couple miles from our house called Waterloo. Since it has rained quite a bit we stayed in the shallow part and didn't go below the falls. Before we left though we had a visit from the snapping turtle that frequents the pond beside our house. We never bother him just let him have his (very wide) path.
