Another option could be rebalancing. If one coin spikes whilst some are still yet to climb, you'd be overweight in that coin on your portfolio and a rebalancing would mean taking a few profits from that

The first dump was because Coinmarketcap removed some South Korean exchanges with diverging prices. Also to do with South Korea, but different events.

The fall is from 2 things: Local South Korean crypto exchanges were raided by police and tax officials AND The South Korean Justice Minister apparently said he's planning to ban cryptocurrency trading.

Actually, the current crash in cryptos is because the South Korea Justice Minister said he's planning to ban cryptocurrency trading. The coinmarketcap thing was older news...but the raid is recent as well.
