Didn't think of it like that, I guess with steem they can make other platform and grow the eco system. Steemit version of instagram, facebook, ebay, amazon etc.

Personally I am buying the dips currently, it did me well when I invested when the market tanked from 5200 to 2900 back in Late August/september. I wouldn't buy anything in one goes, buy it over few days

Edward snowden likes zcash, that guy is super smart and techy, that should be a good reason to buy that alone.
