How can we know the future? Do we have any power to predict the future as believers?
Remember that the Bible is a book of prophecy and we can use it to gain prophecy and revelation.
When we talk about prophetic pronouncements, they are made by Lord or by prophets to review what might happen in the future.
John 14 vs12 also shows that Christians can be told about what might happen in the future or they might have a revelation. When we acknowledge the job of this in the future, then we might know how to live our lives expecting anything to happen. Sometimes we cannot predict the future because we might not know what might happen but we can keep having faith in God.
God has given us the power to shape our life and future. In Proverbs 16 vs 9, we see that a man shall diversify his way, but the Lord directs his steps. It's always in the heart of man that they can plan their ways and how they want to live their lives, but it is God that has the final say, and God wants to direct us.
Therefore, we can expect anything to happen, but God knows the final say. We might live our life, the Christian future is in the hand of God, and we might not know what might happen. We have to know that at some certain point, we might die, or we might agree that we are going to die.
Ecclesiastes 9:5-14 shows that for the living know that they might die, but the dead know nothing, neither do they have any word from the memory of them. But the living also know that they will die, but the dead do not know their future or what.
Most of the certain things that we only know about ourselves is that we are going to die in the future. Most of us do not know what might happen in the future. That is why God is here to direct and show us our future and our lifetime.
