Between the f/2 and f/2.8, there's a world of difference. I actually avoid shooting f/2.8 whenever I can. I have all my important lenses at f/1.2 - f/2.

The Alpha is a really great choice - I would take a look at the Fuji Pro 2 as well if you'd like a smaller body with better battery life and a master-of-all kit lens. For the Sony, my first picks would
